Tax Free Childcare is Launched Earlier Than Planned

The government launched the new Tax Free Childcare scheme today, slightly ahead of the planned start date of 28th April.

Parents with children aged 4 or younger are able to apply for Tax Free Childcare (in addition to pre-registering for the 30-hours childcare entitlement which commences on 1st September 2017), through the government’s digital childcare service. This is a change to the planned roll-out of Tax Free Childcare initially to parents of children under 2.
